Day 2 #60daysofmugs

I am sitting at the dentist, which is somewhat of a mini vacation since it involves laying in a chair with a TV, no children, no chores. This morning was a fantastic one and my mug is appropriate for this appropriate morning.
"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23

Thank the good Lord that this a truth. How many times do I need to wake up with this in my face?? With that said I spent this morning in prayer... "Lord, let the baby not wake up til I am out of bed." "Lord, please let this fire start." "Lord, please let the boys have not peed their bed so we can scurry out the door." "Lord, please let me remember where that card went so I can pay for the dentist." "Lord, help me not scream at my children." "Lord, help me to not ram the back of the school bus that is stopping every 100 yards and making me late for my mini vacation." Etc... Pray without ceasing.

So, when I got to finally sit down in the chair while they were drilling away I chose that time to talk to God. It was not much better. "Lord, help my sanity, what was I going to make for dinner tonight, I want to serve you more and with abandon, help me know what Tobi needs the most, did I empty that garbage can, Renew my passion for You and Your word, help me to find time to be with You, help me be more of what Matt needs, do I know where all of Will's gym clothes are for Saturday, how much will this cost, help me not to worry about finances and give them to you"... I think that most mamas can relate to these amazing conversations with God. It was quite random and He had to find humor in it. It was productive 😜 and as I wait for my crown to be done so they can jam it on my dead and drilled out tooth, I feel a little more relaxed. But I have no children with me.

So, going back to my mug of choice, for the few seconds I got to drink from it, so true!
