With all the craziness of Regionals, Michigan, some drama and life Tobi turned 3. We had a nice little Jake Pirate party. Nana, Papa, Aunt Kimber, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Chris, and the Hopkins came and we had a swashbuckling good time!

I don't know where to start with my Tobi. I look at these photos and I can't help but have tears streaming down my face. He has been… well.. Tobi. We have gone through a lot with this little man. From him trying to "break" out at 30 weeks in the pregnancy and coming 5 weeks early, our NICU stay, dealing with eating with the Haberman bottle, pumping, pumping, pumping, eating, pumping, the surgery, pumping, recovery, DONE PUMPING, speech therapy, being misunderstood… He is one tough boy. Yet, he is so sweet.
If I could have one word to describe my Tobi it would be joy. He is always joyful. Don't get me wrong he can throw a fit along with the best of all toddlers, with some great lungs. But he smiles with is two big dimples, he always has. He sings and he talks constantly, and we don't know what he is saying. That doesn't stop him though. He just keeps babbling along. This is one of the hardest things. I wish we could communicate with him more. He is doing really well and can say what he needs to say and gets across what he wants or needs. He is happy and will just truck along.
I look at him and I am so thankful that God allowed him to be placed in our family. He LOVES his big brother and wants to be with him all the time. We call him Button but we really should call him Tank. He is big, solid, and heavy. We laugh because he has a size 10 shoe and Will has a size 12. He will pass his big brother soon. He is our big gift from God.

- He would be naked all the time if I let him
- He won't sleep on the bottom bunk but only the top
- He falls down standing up he is not like Will in that way
- He loves to eat, he DOES NOT like to have his food taken away or told no when he wants something to eat
- He loves Sunday school
- He doesn't like moving things like wagons, but he loves the trampoline and would swing all day
- He talks in his sleep and we always thought he was waking up but he will just monologue for an hour in the middle of the night (good thing WIll is a deep sleeper)
- He loves hugs and will pretty much hug anyone
- He loves chickens
- He thinks he is Picasa and colors on the walls and himself
Tobin is what his name means: "God is Good" I asked Will what he likes best about Tobi and his response was, that he is my brother. Enough said. We love you Tobin and we are thankful for every moment with you!
