What??? I am posting????

I finally decided that it was time to write! I know, seeing as the last time I did this it was summer. Now it is Spring almost a year later and I am going to try to pick this up again. Nothing fancy, but mainly for you Tiff. :) I have Facebook and while I love connecting with friends and all the Michigan family, I get a little frustrated with it. I am not giving it up but I am going to try to use this format more. That way if you really want to know what's up with us, which I don't know quite why, you can come here. Now to see if this actually happens. Can I get an app for this? I am a little too attached to my iPhone, just ask Sarah because she was around me when I "lost" it for a day. The FB app is just so easy. :)

I have been crazy busy with the boys, schooling (on the days we do it...) and midwifery. I filled in for Treasure Valley Midwives this January/early February and so enjoyed being back in birth. I also go to work with each of the midwives which was such a treat! Julie and the kids were out here for January and it was fun to have the kids around all the time. I miss all my nieces and nephews so it was fun to get that much time with Britain and Jude. I enjoyed having Julie around to talk, talk and talk, drink coffee, and go to the store with. haha... It was hard to see them go. My practice is going well and I have 4 amazing women in my care right now. I am very blessed by them and it is just the right amount for us right now. (the added income helps too) As if I thought I wasn't busy enough so I threw in going to Bible study too. I needed that though and I have so enjoyed being back in a study where I get to specifically study His word. I just fail at doing it in depth on my own. I love the women I get to be around and a few are also in our small group which is even more of a blessing.

Will just finished his first season as a competitive gymnast and it was a blast. We traveled to Portland and Matt just took him to Couer D'Alene for State. He did well and most of all had a lot of fun. He is naturally good at it and when he decides to focus could be quite the gymnast. It is amazing to me how he can do what he does on the rings and the floor and it all really. He is a whirlwind of energy and can drive me batty but I enjoy him so very much. He loves his "baby" brother and is such a good friend to him. It is fun to see them play and laugh together.

Tobin is the sweetest little lover and wants to share it with everyone. He hugs anyone who comes close enough and lives in his own happy little world. He talks a lot now but no one knows what he is saying outside of "uh-oh" and "oh-no" He stomps around and just sings and plays. He is a happy little boy as long as you don't tell him no then he turns into sad baby and mad baby. :) He's my mama's boy and wants to be near me or preferably on me as much as possible. I wanted one and got it. :)

Matt is doing well with the coffee business and it has really picked up. I still smile when I think of him making coffee because when we started he didn't even know what a latte was. He didn't get to snowboard as much this year because we just never got great snow and he didn't get much backpacking in either over the summer/fall. I have kept him plenty busy though as he has been helping me out with "dreams" for my practice and making a lot of it possible. I am so thankful for the time we get with him. We still close at 1pm which means he is always home before 3. We are spoiled and I know the boys love all the time they get with dad. This summer will be fun for all of them. Hopefully lots of camping and hiking and playing in the dirt and rivers.

Ok, I am done for now. I had to give somewhat of an update and I will try to post pics and videos soon. in the meantime sending lots of love and blessing from the Taplins here in Idaho!!!

you were right! As soon as I saw you posted on our site I came to see if you had updated :-) So glad you did. I really need to call you again but I know we're both busy ...one of these days. So fun to see how the boys have grown and hear how you all are doing. We miss you. Abigail said a few weeks ago how it's been 6 years since we saw you last! I could hardly believe it. Love you!!
