Spring

Yeah!! It is findally spring and we are so excited. It has been a very hard winter and I look forward to a new beginning of a lot of things. I have been very busy at the Baby Place and I am over 80 births now. It is hard to believe that I have been to that many and have had the priviledge to take care of that many women. I am doing a lot more around the center and I love being able to contribute a lot more. There are so many times that I can't believe I am a midwife. (student to be fair) God has blessed me and shown me so much of who He is. It is a trying calling but so rewarding. I am blessed.

At home we added two baby geese and two baby white turkeys to our mini farm. The turkeys were to raise to eat and the geese were just too darn cute to pass up. Will named the geese Duke and Ella. We are not naming the turkeys because as Will says, "when they all growed up we will eat them" :) Duke and Ella think that Will is mamma and follow him around everywhere. He also thinks he is mamma and likes to sneak them into his bed when we are asleep. They leave nice messes and I am still yet to find out how he carries the two of them up his ladder into his bed. He was trying to teach them to fly off the trampoline yesterday and I had to tell him that they have no feathers so they just bounce and it can hurt them. He didn't agree with me. He is loving the warmer weather and when I am not out with him he is naked all the time. I know when he has stripped becuase usually all his clothes are on backwards or inside out. Crazy kid. He also is very much like his mamma and doesn't like shoes. He has learned how to climb our 6 foot fence in the back yard. The side that doesn't have the support boards on it. He somehow scales it and over eh goes. That child is so mobile. He also swings off the trampoline on my clothes line over 6 feet in the air. The child has not fear. I pray for him and my sanity daily. haha....

My latest task is thast I am trying to bake bread. I finally purchased a grain mill that I have been wanting for years. I was so excited and 12 loaves and 4 batches later I have no success in getting my dough to rise. hmmm... I have tried many tricks, different yeast and even different grains. I am in the process of my 5th batch and I am hoping that his one it "the one" :) I had hoped for a garden but I just don't know if I have the time. I am raising animals instead. I am down to 15 chickens (various losses), 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 geese, and 2 turkeys. My goal is to at least grow corn to feed my poultry and to keep my poultry penned so not to feed my dogs. :) I have enjoyed being outside more too and look forward to even warmer weather.

Prayers for Matt and I are greatly coveted as we are going through a pretty hard time in our marriage. God is good and full of grace and has brought some amazing people into both our lives. I pray for the miracles that I know He can give. I believe that we are in His hands and that He only wants what is best for our family. Also keep Will in prayer because he is feeling the affects of all that is going on. I am sorry I took so long to again write but life has been a little on the crazy, insane side. Love you all,

"That in ALL things He may have the glory!!"
