Time at home
My time at home is precious. It seems when there have been a lot of births to attend my time is so precious. Sometimes I feel Will is growing up before my eyes and I am missing it. Then, I get time like today and I calm down. I love and cherish my days with my Will. Today was one of those days. He is so independent. He can do so much by himself I sometimes wonder if he needs me. Then he will fall or break something and comes straight to Mama. He needs me.
We are learning lessons and trying to understand that there are consequences to actions we do. Like, eggs break when we throw them and we don't get to eat as many and Mama doesn't get to sell them to pay for the chicken food. But, there is something so tempting to a little boy when he holds them in his hand. hmmm... He just is so darn cute. He loves getting eggs though and he is learning that it is not ok to destroy them.
He also is so observant with the little things that are big things. Like last weekend Will and I went up to my parents in the mountains and he told Matt, "daddy, don't be sad. You have Jesus and Jesus loves you berry much. And he is always with you because Jesus lives in your heart." He is such a joy. He can drive me bonkers one moment and melt my heart to mush the next. Thank you Jesus for my little boy. I love him berry much.
I would just like to say that God is so so good and I am thankful for what a loving God He is. Things have been pretty tough in the Taplin house lately but, you know, God always shines through. He is most definately the calm within the storm. I again am drawn to my beloved verse. Psalm 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continuously be in my mouth" and Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
With that I leave that I love you all and that I am so thankful for my family and my extended family that is so loving and caring. Thank you. And thank you to my Jesus. "uphold my steps in Your paths, that my footsteps may not slip."
